Program description:
Come take advantage of this collaborative, inclusive, and seriously fun opportunity to actively design a vision for leadership development at MB. You will engage with other girls to develop your voice, uncover leadership myths, present and challenge your current assumptions about who leaders are, what they do, and why and how they are typically and historically selected to receive leadership development. Together, you will collaborate to define exactly what leadership really is, how it is practiced, how a shared language helps to unite and connect people, and explore what it means to be a leader within, and beyond MB.
*Quaker Tenets: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Service (SPICES)
Culminating event:
The shared understandings and subsequent vision created will be presented to an authentic audience of stakeholders and community members. This experience will highlight the value of the Quaker tenets (SPICES)* in developing a shared language and set of skills to practice for an effective and inclusive student & faculty leadership pedagogy.
